Sample SCOs

ISN, the creators of the ATutor SCORM RTE, have kindly made a few SCOs available for testing purposes, if you want to import a SCORM SCO into ATutor to see how the Packages tool works.

Download these SCOs then import them through the Packages tool in ATutor 1.5, or copy the URL into the Packages tool to import them directly into ATutor from the Web.

Learning Content Respository Search Tools

Use the following tools to search the Web for learning content to use with your ATutor courses. In many cases this content is available for use on remote elearning sites, while in other cases content is available as learning objects or content packages that can be copied and reused in your courses. Be sure to respect any copyright notices included with content. Suggest adding a repository if you know of others that could be included here.

Open University: Learning Space

Learning Space Repository: From the Open University, a broad range of content available in various formats, including content packages and common cartridges that can be imported directory into ATutor.

Australian Flexible Learning Framework

AFLF: Toolbox Repository: The Toolbox Repository contains a large collection of ATutor compatible content packages on a large variety of topics.

MERLOT

Merlot Search: MERLOT is a free and open resource designed primarily for faculty and students of higher education. Links to online learning materials are collected here along with annotations such as peer reviews and assignments. A module is available to integrate Merlot with ATutor

Connexions

Connexions Search: Connexions is an environment for collaboratively developing, freely sharing, and rapidly publishing scholarly content on the Web. Connexions adapts to a wide range of learning styles and encourages students to explore the links among concepts, courses, and disciplines.

GEM

GEM Search: Gateway to Educational Materials is a Consortium effort to provide educators with quick and easy access to thousands of educational resources found on various federal, state, university, non-profit, and commercial Internet sites.

MIT OpenCourseware

The MIT OpenCourseware project is a large-scale, Web-based electronic publishing initiative funded jointly by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and MIT.

Ilumina

Ilumina Search iLumina is a digital library of sharable undergraduate teaching materials for chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics, and computer science. Ilumina is one of many repositories available through the federated UNC Coastal Library Consortium's library search tool.
