Learning Content Management System

Create a module that allows audio and video content on ATutor to be streamed to users.

A module to integrate OpenMeeting into ATutor, for conducting live meetings with audio, video, whiteboard, desktop and file sharing, etc.

Functional templates allow administrators to configure ATutor for a wide range of purposes by selecting tools, language, and themes which might be specific to a CMS, or an LMS, or a portal, or a collaborative workspace, and more. The Dash Board will act as a portal to various functional implementations of ATutor.

Add to forums, allowing instructors to move individual messages, in addition to being able to move threads.

Extend the ATutor search tool to include current forum, all my forums, all available forums, as search criteria.

Extend Create Backups to include course data, from forums, blogs, files storage, etc. Extend Restore Backups to allow selection of Course Session Data.

Utility to record all student marks. Pass/Conditional/Fail check option for instructors. Auto pass/conditional/fail mark based on predefined passing mark based on total raw marks, or average percentage mark archived. Customizable mark scales. etc.

Extend the current content packaging support, and QTI 2.1 exporting, combining the two with IMS tool interoperability to support the IMS Common Cartridge Specification. Allows importing and exporting of content, with their associated tests and tools attached.

Utility to allow instructors to define assignment parameters/files etc. Allow students to upload assignment files, and instructors to assign marks for assignments. Something independent of the File Storage Utility, specifically for managing assignments.

Create a course/personal calendar to allow students to record personal tasks/events, and allow instructors to post course tasks/events.

ATutor already works with POSTNuke and Mambo. What about others like Plone, Drupal, and Plumtree... [Suggest others in the Feature Requests Forum]

Rebuild the E-Presence module to implement the full set of Web services it provides, fully integrating the E-presence archive and search services into ATutor, and eliminate the iframe used in the current module.

Create a module that allows students to compile a collection of their accomplishments, which they can selectively share with potential employers etc.

Extend the current SCORM 1.2 support to include SCORM 2004

Create an IMS QTI import/export utility to allow instructors to reuse tests and test questions.

Create a general utility that will allow ATutor to authenticate against a organization member database or directory service. Include LDAP, SOAP, Active Directory ....

[DONE]Create an admin and instructor feature to create and manage copies of course forums. Archiving for readonly public and private access. Include forums and messages with course backups, and make the forums an optional backup restore property.

Move the ACollab group collaboration features into ATutor and make them optionally available like other Student Tools as part of the standard source distribution.

Create repository software in PHP, and make available as an addon for ATutor. Must comply with IMS Content Packaging specifications.

Create a set of utilities that allows users to access their social networking sites, like FaceBook, MySpace etc. from within their ATutor courses.

Integrate the ADOdb database abstraction libraries, to allow ATutor to work with databases other than MySQL. see http://adodb.sourceforge.net/

[DONE] In the content editor, and content package importing tools, save information in the HEAD area of the HTML so Javascript and CSS available in the original document can be called into ATutor content pages.

Create a single signon and intagration module to allow moodle to run within ATutor.
