| I am considering deploying ATutor as a content management system on a hosted server. I have about 6 or 7 courses that currently are all video. I have uploaded all these videos to Amazon Cloud front and have embed codes for each that are secured. I am assuming in the lessons I create on ATutor that I can just embed these links and have the videos within them, streaming from Amazon's servers. Other posts I have read here seem to indicate that this will work. I just wanted to confirm that. Also, is it currently possible to have staged lessons? What I mean by that is, can lessons be made available as time elapses? For example, I would like to have lesson one be available the instant the course is ordered. And then have lesson two be available either the next day or x amount of days later. I was wondering if ATutor is currently able to do that. I want to be able to sell my courses and have users names and passwords be associated with the courses they have purchased, giving them access. Any comments about how ATutor handles that would be appreciated. Also, it is possible to have forums that are strictly associated with particular courses? Thanks for your help! | I'd assume your Amazon videos would work, though haven't tried. You can try them yourself on the demo site to see if they work. In addition to pasting your HTML into a page, you might also try using the [media][/media] tags with the video URL between them (like YouTube videos are inserted). The media tag handles many media formats. www.atutor.ca/atutor/demo.php You can set specific release dates, but you can not set a user by user release. I don't think any of the current LMSs will do that. You can set releases based on passing a test, which might substitute for what you need. The Payments module will do what you want for collecting payments and enrolling students automatically. Most forums are associated strictly with a particular course. There are also shared forums.
