| I'm using the certificate module. How do I go about creating a custom certificate? I see in the readme file: ---begin quote In example "default_certificate.pdf.fields", you will see, if a text fields with name "full_name" is defined in pdf and it's supposed to have default value [FNAME] [LNAME], in "default_certificate.pdf.fields", please have a section like: --- FieldName: full_name FieldValue: [FNAME] [LNAME] ---end quote but that seems to make little sense grammatically. I have a PDF created. Do I name it something? Do I add fields using Adobe Live Cycle Designer? Thanks. Posted: 2009-08-14 19:10:40 | ||

| Everything goes into the ATutor/mods/certificates directory atutorsvn.atrc.utoronto.ca/repos/atutor/trunk/mods/certificate/ You can scan through the example certificate files there. To create a template PDF you need Adobe Acrobat. When creating the template, add the fields to it that have been defined in the default_certificate.pdf.fields file. You might also take a look at the Certify module, which works like the Certificates module. atutor.no/2009/06/announcing-certify Posted: 2009-08-15 10:06:50 | ||

| Thanks! oddly enough, I've installed the module but all I see in ATutor\mods is _core _standard index.html I know it's installed but I can't find its directory? I can edit the parameters under /ATutor/go.php/1/mods/certificate/index_instructor.php but there is no such directory. Posted: 2009-08-15 11:06:41 | ||

| Not sure what to tell you. It should be in ATutor/mods/certificate. /go.php/1/ is not a directory. Posted: 2009-08-15 11:23:04 | ||

| tried uninstalling the module and reinstalling it, too! no luck uninstalling it: --- The following errors occurred: * This module needs to be uninstalled manually instead of using the ATutor module installer. Please uninstall it manually. --- and here I thought I was smart, or something. Is it really me? Do I really have to tear down this poor teacher's site and start over? | Describe the server specs mentioned in the "describe" message when you post to this forum. Its possible the server itself is the problem. It may be letting you install without having to set write permissions on the mods directory. Check the database to see if the module is listed in the modules table. If you can get to the server command prompt, manually find your way to the mods/ directory. I have to ask, are you sure you are in the right ATutor directory? There isn't another installation you might be accessing instead of the one where the module is being installed? Posted: 2009-08-15 13:08:46 | ||

| Hi Greg, thanks for the help on this thread. I have installed Certify (successfully, I think), but can't figure out how to 'enable' it for my course. I can't find an option on the SuperAdmin screens for it; ??? thx! Posted: 2010-01-11 15:22:24 | ||

| In the admin's Module Manager. It is listed as disabled after installing. Enable it there before it can be enabled in a course, and then in the course Manage>Course Tools Posted: 2010-01-11 15:36:45 | ||

| I am also trying to create some custom certificates. However, in the README it says, "If you upload a new template you will have to manually delete the old one from the server, as well as any cached files (named typically cert*.pdf (where * is a wildcard). The files are found within the ATutor content folder, in the "certify" folder. * " This seems to make the "Add a Certificate" function useless. Just to be clear, is it currently possible to have more than one certificate associated with a course? Also, when I use the "Add a Certificate" function, the certificate I upload does not appear to be accessible for download by the Learner. I get an error message "PDFTK failed - not installed or wrong path?" But the default certificate still downloads perfectly. Thanks for your help Posted: 2010-10-16 14:35:54 | ||

| You might talk to the developers of the module at: atutor.no/2009/06/announcing-certify Posted: 2010-10-16 16:33:42 | ||
