AChecker 0.2 Beta Released

The second development release of AChecker is now available. AChecker is a Web accessibility evaluation tool that tests Web sites for conformance with various international accessibility guidelines. This version is released primarily for curiosity and testing purposes, leading up to a 1.0 release in the coming months.

New in AChecker 0.2Beta
User login: Multi-user authentication has been added. Users can register their own account on the system, save data, and edit their profile.

Guideline Management: Users can create their own guideline set, choosing from the 270 or so accessibility checks, to create their own custom guidelines against which to evaluate accessibility. Administrators can approve user custom guidelines for public use.

AChecker Handbook: The handbook documenting AChecker is now available to be populated with instructions and other details on using AChecker.

Looking Forward to 0.3 Beta
In next development release, a few weeks away, we are planning to add administrators' User/Group Management, and make the translation and language tools available so translators can begin translating AChecker to other languages.
