I am porting a course from BlackBoard 8 (vista) and came across a "Fill in the Blank" Question that I can't implement in ATutor (did i miss anything?)

The "Fill in the Blank" question template has the following fields:
-Answering text (text box)
-Value (%)
-Grading Scheme (contains, Equals, Regular Expression)

And settings:
-Answering box width
-Case sensitive on/off

May be the ATutor "Open ended" question type could be enhanced to support an optional answering text (case insensitive / space trimmed)?

You would use "Open Ended" questions for fill in the blank, and choose answer size "one word"

As for the enhancements, some would not be difficult to add. You might try your hand at creating an ATutor patch, and we'll use it to add case insensitive and space trimming.

The box width and grading scheme would need a little more effort, updating the db to store the choices, creating the options in the question editor. It maybe something we can look at for a future release. You're welcome to give it a try yourself, if you want to create a clone from github, and submit potential changes there.
