| I can't complete the installation process because whenever I enter an email address for the personal account I get an error message to say the email address is not valid ... just a regular email address 'user@address.gov.uk' .. I can't figure out what is happening to cause this problem. I am having the same problem with ACollab on trying to edit or create users. Heidi Posted: 2004-03-09 11:45:24 | ||

| Here is a list of things you can describe with your help request. 1. The version of ATutor you are referring to. ATutor 1.3.3 - downloaded on 02/03/04 (dd/mm/yy) 2. The operating system ATutor is installed on (Windows, Unix etc., Mac ...), and its version Linux rev66.dhcp 2.2.16C28_111 (info from host) 3. The Web server you are using and its version (Apache, Netscape, IIS...). Apache/1.3.20 4. The version of PHP and MySQL being used (php 4.2.0+ and MySql 3.23+ are required) . PHP 4.1.2 (I wonder if that's the problem?) MySQL 3.23.39 5. The Web browser you are using to view ATutor, it's version number, and any default settings you may have changed. IE 5 6. Do you have root access to your server, or are you a hosted user on someone else's server, etc? hosted user 7. List the steps you took prior to experiencing the problem. Downloaded, unzipped and installed ATutor according to instructions with no problems until reached the step involving setting up Personal Account & Defaults. Can't set up Personal Account as email address is rejected as not valid. Similar issue with ACollab. Installed fine. Changed email for superadmin under 'options' 'change password' with no problems ... but can't create new accounts as once again the email is rejected as not valid. ACCESS INFORMATION 8. Provide access information to your ATutor installation with appropriate admin/instructor accounts. 9. Provide a URL to a phpinfo page so we can see how php has been installed on your system. www.wakefieldaes.org.uk/phpinfo.php Posted: 2004-03-10 05:09:52 | ||
