Things to describe: Operating system ATutor is installed on - ATutor Version: 1.6.2 PHP Version: 5.2.6-0.dotdeb.1 MySQL Version: 5.0.32-Debian_7etch1 OS: Linux 2.6.18-028stab057.4-ent ATutor theme name Fluid Copies of error messages - Import as Test-Package and into Question Database: Fatal error: Call to a member function addError() on a non-object in /var/www/sk03578/html/ATutor/include/classes/QTI/QTIImport.class.php on line 92 Changes to default settings - Web browser being used - Firefox 3 ...and anything else relevant - I had exported may questions from ATutor 1.6.2 (I made the questions there) then I had to install ATutor again, because I could not add a test. | Thanks, confirmed. Please apply patch #0001. Please also update/add the following error message into your language table, [AT_ERROR_QTI_WRONG_PACKAGE] "Import failed. Please note that ATutor only supports QTI 1.2.1 import." Posted: 2008-12-15 10:16:48 | ||

| Where can I get/download the patch, please? I can't connect to the update-server. ATutor says: Failed to connect to patch server: update.atutor.ca so patches provided by the patch server can not be listed. Please proceed with installing private patch. The same happened with modules. "Modules -> Install Modules" reports: The following errors occurred: * Failed to connect to server: update.atutor.ca I uploaded some modules per ftp into the mod-directory, but I can't see them to activate them in ATutor. I created a directory _extra and moved thme there, nothing. I moved them into _standard, but nothing to see or to activate. How do I install modules now, please? | Hi, attached is another patch that will fix your problem with installing modules. Without connection to update.atutor.ca, you won't be able to install online modules. With this patch, you should be able to install local modules in folder "mods". Please still follow the old way to install local module: leave module in folder "mods" instead of any sub-folders. Thanks. Posted: 2008-12-15 14:58:38 | ||

| Thank you for the patches. I installed them, I can see them in a grey box and they have the status "installed". But no effect: - I can't see any module I have uploaded to activate them. - I can't import the ATutor-question-file. Error message: [AT_ERROR_QTI_WRONG_PACKAGE] Why wrong package? I made it in ATutor and exported it from there. Why didn't the patches not help? What goes wrong here? Greetings, Egon Posted: 2008-12-15 15:55:33 | ||

Did you export QTI as 2.1? ATutor currently supports QTI 1.2.1 for importing only.

| I can not reproduce the problem myself. Tests import/export as they should. Can you try exporting a single simple question, then importing it. Try importing it into the demo site. There may be something in one of the questions that's causing the problem. Posted: 2008-12-15 16:33:51 | ||

| Manual installation of modules works now. After uploading, they are not automatically listed. You have to press the link/button "Install Modules" one more time, then you see them listed and you are able to install them. Perhaps I've overseen this. Sorry for that. Tomorrow I'll try exporting and importing of questions again. Thank you for your help. Greetings, Egon Posted: 2008-12-15 17:44:20 | ||

| I tried to import the question-package into the demo site. I received the following error message: Fatal error: Call to a member function addError() on a non-object in /webserver/content/atutor.ca/docs/atutor/ATutor/include/classes/QTI/QTIImport.class.php on line 92 I'm going to make questions if I've got time and try again. | Which version did you export your questions from? QTI 1.2.1 or QTI 2.1 Posted: 2008-12-16 09:10:52 | ||
| egonP | Subject: Re: exported questions could no be reimported | |
| I think it's 1.2.1 if you look at the beginning of the xml-file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <questestinterop xmlns="http://www.imsglobal.org/xsd/ims_qtiasiv1p2" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" > <assessment title="" ident="d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e"> <section ident="ATUTOR-8" title=""> <!-- multi answer multiple choice question with partial marks --> <item title="Multiple answer question" ident="ITEM_1"> ................................. Similar in the second xml. Greetings, Egon Posted: 2008-12-16 10:19:40 | ||
