I can't reproduce the problem myself. Can you point us to the package that is giving you trouble. The URL of the link to the package.

Hi Greg,

Here is the URL -

openlearn.open.ac.uk/course/view.php?id=2708&topic=all

On the right hand side of this page, under "alternative formats" panel you can find "Content Package" link that exports the course in IMS format. I tried to import that package into my local installation of Atutor and faced this issue.

I'm not having any trouble importing the package on our demo site, or on my local system.

Is there anything else you can tell us about your ATutor installation.

Is it an upgrade or a fresh install?

Which theme are you using?

We are using version 1.6.2

We are using Ice blue theme. But this doesnt work with the default Atutor theme as well.

I have attached the file we are trying to import for your reference. Please let us know if you are able to import the course.

Cheers!

Hi Greg,

We found the problem was because of the field "allow_test_export" under the table at_content had its default value not set. We set a default value of 1 to that field and the error message has disappeared.

This is a quick fix from our side to get us going. Do let us know if the fix is dangerous.

Cheers!smile

The value of allow_test_export should default to "0". I can't explain why this is not the case on your system. Perhaps something specific to your system. It's not happening anywhere else.

Your attachment is empty, but the file is the same one I imported yesterday from OpenLearn with no trouble. Setting the value to 1, means students can export any test that might be associated with the content. Set it to 0 to turn this off.

So 0 it is. Great! Thanks for letting know. smile

Even am not sure why it happens this way. Will let you know if I could figure out why.

Thanks for all your help.

Cheers!

I'm having the same problem:

"Field 'allow_test_export' doesn't have a default value".

I'll try to put a '0' in that field, this message is only to inform you there is at least another user having this problem.

Unluckily you can't access this installation as we use a server on the company intranet, not accessibile from the outside.

Things to describe:
Operating system ATutor is installed on - Windows Server 2003
ATutor version - 1.6.3 (updated from 1.6.2)
Patch #s applied - 1 to 5
ATutor theme name - default
PHP version - 5.1.4
MySQL version - 5.0.22-community-nt
Webserver & version - Apache 2.2.2
Copies of error messages -
Changes to default settings - installed module "Certificate"
Web browser being used - Firefox

Ciao,
Max
