    Hi guys,

My colleague and I are enjoying the new fresh installation of ATutor, 1.6.2. Unfortunately I came to a problem that so far cannot solve by myself. Here is the sequence of my actions:
    1. The language was set to Bulgarian and then I changed the in the Default preferences
Show Context Sensitive Links to Handbook to [Disable]
    2. After apply i got this message:
    ---
Warning: require(include/../themes//theme.cfg.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/local/www/atutor/include/vitals.inc.php on line 250

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'include/../themes//theme.cfg.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/share/pear') in /usr/local/www/atutor/include/vitals.inc.php on line 250
    ---
    3. What is surprising to me when I closed and started again the browser the page was accessible unless I visit again the def. prefs menu and do some changes there, and apply.
    4. I tried changing the theme, language but did not help - always the same error after applying changes from Def. prefs menu.
Currently it is not accessible and I receive a blank page when accessing /admin/default_preferences.php

So far I am running out of any wise ideas, so if you could drop some tips you receive a virtual beer from me smile

    Thank you

    operating system - FreeBSD 7.1-RELEASE-p1

I can't reprodcue the problem myself.

The path to the theme is incomplete, which suggests its not properly defined in the database.

I might suggest trying another fresh install.

If you are asking for help, provide lots of detail so problems can be reproduced.

    Patch #s applied - 21
ATutor theme name - BPO olive
    PHP version - 5.1.6
    MySQL version - 5.0
    Webserver & version - Apache 2.0

    Changes to default settings -
    Web browser being used - IE8, Firefox 2 & 3, Chrome, Opera
    ...and anything else relevant -

Hello, I am new to Atutor but a long time system administrator and consultant. I am very impressed with the software and I am working hard to get an organization which is testing on this server moved to atutor from their bulky moodle net. I think this will allow them much better management of their courses and interaction with students.

I am also having a simliar issue to this. I have a fresh install and I have installed all patches. I can edit everything just fine until I get to the Default Preferences. If I even click on that button, I am lost.

The page loads without CSS or template and anything from there on is black. I have to move to a new computer to get in and hope after a while that I can get back in with the original computer. I have tried rebooting the hosting server and nothing happens. This is really an issue as it is happening on every browner, mac, windows and linux.

    Thanks for any insight.

As far as I can tell, default preferences are working fine. It may be related to the theme you're using. Try another theme and see if that makes a difference.

    Hello,

I managed to get back into the system today. I changed back to an Autotr default template and it worked. You are correct Greg. Thanks for your help, I will look for another template to work with in our site design.

If I can get these instructors out of the moodle mindset and into working with atutor I will be excited.
