assistants can't see tests assigned to groups

| hia, was just notified that assistants with both the test & surveys and the groups privilege cannot *see* tests assigned to groups (when clicking the "tests & surveys" tabs), even though they can create the tests and assign them to groups.. Posted: 2009-05-20 03:06:36 | ||

| Yes. I confirmed it after I was notified of it and confirmed it again now, also on your demo server. You can log in to your demo server with demo / demo, course aaa, and see the "SingleQuestionTest" test under test & surveys. this test is assigned to the group "vegard". now, log in to the same course with vegard / vegard and you are not able to see this test under test & surveys. this user has the group and test privs.. | hia, what I did now (on a third install at atutor.no) to reproduce this: * logged in to a course as instructor * creted a group * took a user and gave the user the test priv and the group priv * added this user to the newly created group * created a new test with question(s) and assigned that test to the group. * logged in as the other user, and did not see the test under the "test & surveys" tab as I did with the instructor user. ..also found that IF a test is set to allow guests the user will be able to see this test again (however I guess there might be a conflict in assigning a test to a group and at the same time allowing guests?) | Hello, i must have done something wrong. I can't reproduce this. This is what I did. *logged in as instructor * created a group * enrolled a user a_a into this course, and added him to my group * Give test and group priv to a_a * added a test with questions, assign it to my group * log in as a_a * manage, test * it lists that test there. | aha, the difference is that you try to find it under *manage* -> tests & surveys, where it will be found, but it's not findable under the student view / tab of "test & surveys" (tools/my_tests.php) Posted: 2009-06-02 13:48:52 | ||

| Mm i see. Apparently instructors can't see the tests too, from tools/my_tests.php I am guessing this is because they are not in the group. [edited] Nevermind. It does work.. Confirmed. Posted: 2009-06-02 13:56:41 | ||

| no, instructors can see them too. it seems only assistants with the combination of group and test priv cannot. Posted: 2009-06-02 14:21:32 | ||
