| There seems to be a problem with the PayPal settings. I installed the module and selected PayPal as the gateway but there are required fields for (1)Credit card processing location URL (2) Vendor ID assigned by credit card payment service PayPal merely requires entering the vendor's email address - unless this module requires a special type of PayPal account? There's no visible option for entering PayPal specific account details or course fees in the admins. Is this restricted to instructors? Posted: 2009-06-04 01:29:09 | ||

| See the readme file with the module for details on setting up a link to your PayPal gateway. It requires a "buy now button" setup, as described in the readme. Posted: 2009-06-04 09:17:06 | ||

| Hehehe. It has a "Read me" file? I used the module installer. The module's direct download link was broken last night when I tried. Seems to work now... Thanks Greg. Posted: 2009-06-04 10:48:19 | ||

| I'm back. I downloaded the read me from the server but the PayPal instructions still leave me with a question based on this info: PayPal IPN Setup For security purpose Instant Payment Notification (IPN) must be setup with your PayPal merchant account. You will be asked to provide a URL to the IPN notification verification script, included with the EComm module. While logged into your PayPal account, slect the Profile tab, then choose "Instant Payment Notification Preferences". Turn "ON" the service, and provide the URL. The URL should also include the password you entered when setting up the module Settings in ATutor. My question: I didn't enter a password when setting up the module and further up the Read me it says (leave the password field empty). Something seems to be missing. Thanks. | We have our hands full with two releases approaching, so can't investigate this right now. PayPal changes things regularly (to the chagrin of everyone using mods like this) so perhaps something has changed. Otherwise read the readme again. See the Paypal docs on "but now buttons" Posted: 2009-06-04 12:07:21 | ||

| Cool. But since this will be used in the new release, it may be one fewer issue to address in the future. The documentation seems to suggest something I should do in Atutor, not on PayPal: "The URL should also include the password you entered when setting up the module Settings in ATutor." Maybe that's a sentence to be dropped from the Read me(?) How long a wait until the next release? Posted: 2009-06-04 14:32:22 | ||
