Can't delete users

| Hi. When I trie to delete a user the system ask: ¿Desea eliminar los siguientes usuarios? ? where you can see that no name of user is printed. So when I accept nobody is deleted. | What Webserver are you using Apache or IIS? You should be using Apache. Are there any special characters in the name you are trying to delete? Posted: 2009-09-18 10:10:57 | ||

| I'm using Apache (sorry...). No, there aren't special characters in the name. In the same page if I try to edit any user I receive the error message: ---------------------------------- Ocurrieron los siguientes errores: Usuario no encontrado ---------------------------------- I have more problems in the enrollment but I want first solve this problem to delete previous course users. In fact the problems with enrollment become when I installed 1.6.1 version, last year, and this morning I upgraded to 1.6.3 to solve these problems but them persists. | Yes. In this case the message is: --------------------------------- Are you sure you want to delete the following users? Selected instructors who own courses will not be deleted. --------------------------------- with no line break. But the problem is the same. And the edit option send the error message: --------------------------------- The following errors occurred: User not found. --------------------------------- The other options work fine. | I don't see any problems in the code for the admin_delete.php script, and everything is working fine on our installations. Have you modified anything? What theme are you using? Posted: 2009-09-18 13:52:24 | ||

| I haven't modify anything. I've just upgraded from v1.6.1. I'm using ATutor theme (by default). Do you think better to do a fresh installation? I can export the three courses I'm using, delete the database tables (I haven't privileges to create the entire database) and import later the courses. | A fresh install, and copying your courses over, is one option. There were not any problems reported for deleting users in 1.6.1 either, so it may be a server setting that's the problem, in which case a fresh install may not help. It can't hurt to try though. Posted: 2009-09-18 14:11:27 | ||

| Hi. If I try to delete users with Chrome or Firefox it works (not always but some times works) but when I try to do this with IE8 it doesn't work. In English and Spanis-ES languaje. When I try to create/import a course list it doesn't work on any explorer. I can create user acounts when I login like admin. Do you think those are server problems? Posted: 2009-09-22 08:03:08 | ||

| Hi. I don't understand why it works today on Chrome and IE8 and doesn't work on Firefox (in the last message I say that it works on Firefox but at this moment it doesn't). Any idea? Thanks Posted: 2009-09-24 06:03:33 | ||

| We would recommend against using IE8 for now, until a more stable version is available. There have been a variety of problems reported when IE8 is the browser. We have not had any Chrome issues reported, but we will make note of them if others problems. FireFox should not give you any trouble. Posted: 2009-09-24 09:11:15 | ||
