| Thanks Greg, that's why I asked. Indeed, that may be too much for translators, especially given that there may be just a few names of interest for any given language/country (e.g., 1 Norwegian and 4 Ukrainian cities in the list). One of the possibilities is to have two lists for users: those time zones that are translated, and "all timezones" in English. That way, translators would be able to translate only a handful of terms. But that would require some inelegant changes in several places. Another way is to stick to the 24+ time zones and just name them "UTC+02" or "UTC+02 East Europe, Middle East, North Africa" etc. Maybe it's better to put this to the bug tracker for now and bump it when you're ready to change the requirements?
