    Dear all,

    Please advise,
    Martin

I'm unable to reproduce the broken links on the home page. If you can provide more information about the system ATutor is running on, that might provide more clues.

When you delete a file from file storage, the corresponding link on the home page gets removed. Or, just remove the home page file list by clicking the X in the top right of the box.

The link of one of the files is:

    elo/file_storage/index.php?download=1&files[]=20

    But it does not work

    Copies of error messages -

The problem may be the brackets in the file names. Try renaming the files by removing the "[]" characters.

Thanks for your quick reply Greg!

I cannot find these files in my system. I am afraid they resulted in some trial and error work setting up my first course.

Files are in content/file_storage, but they are renamed as numbers. The original filenames etc, are stored in the "files" table of the database.

But you should not be editing these directly unless you know what you're doing. Manage files from within File Storage.

Are you having similar problems working with files in the File Manager (i.e. Manage>File Manager)?

Perhaps backup your course (i.e. Manage>Backups), then create a new course restoring the backup into it.

Okay, do not want to go there...

Tried the File Manager, that seems to work fine.

Tried the Create Course and restored: no files in the File Storage at all.

I have now reverted to showing small icons, that will not display the names of these hidden files. I must have done something wrong trying out the software. Better next course.

    Great tool and support, thanks,

    Martin
