| When I try to import a language, it goes thru the normal motions and gives the message that the language was imported successfully, although nothing has been accomplished i.e. lang2 is empty as well it does not show up in the list of languages available. System: Linux Kernel: 2.4.20-28.9 MySQL: v 4.0.20 Apache: v 1.3.31 PHP: v 4.3.8 Posted: 2004-09-27 15:56:13 | ||

| if you're on a slow internet connection it may take too long to upload the file. ensure that the file you're uploading does not end in a .zip extension, but rather the two-digit language code instead. try disabling caching if it's enabled: include/config.inc.php set CACHE_DIR to empty. try upgrading to atutor 1.4.2 which language were you trying to import? | Be sure to provide enough information about your system, and the circumstances of any problems you are experiencing. Support requests lacking complete information may not get a reply. [DELETE THIS NOTICE BEFORE SENDING YOUR SUPPORT REQUEST] The internet connection is very fast. The file\'s extension is not \'.zip\' but \'.fr\' Cache is already disabled. I am trying to install the French language pack. I would rather not upgrade to 1.4.2 because I have customized some of the pages, e.g. registration to save extra information, which I would have to redo since all changes will be lost. Is it possible to know which pages you guys have updated, so I can replace those files with files from my 1.4.1 version after the installation. Best regards Posted: 2004-09-28 12:28:21 | ||
greg![]() | Subject: Install a separate 1.4.2 | |
| Do a fresh install of 1.4.2 beside you current 1.4.1, and see if you can import a language into it. Start with fresh downloads. There are too many changes to list. You'd be better off saving the files you've changed, and comparing them to 1.4.2. Posted: 2004-09-28 18:16:54 | ||
