greg![]() | Subject: Recursive chmod
| Looks to me like the permissions are not set properly. Did you include the -R switch when you set the permissions on the content directory? chmod -R 777 content/ Posted: 2003-12-06 09:03:13 | ||
| tognaco | Subject: I don't know how to | |
| My web is parked at a pay hosting. Thus, the only way that I have to chmod the files and folders is through a FTP client. I use SmartFTP, and this software only allows me to set the permissions to 777. I cant see any way of including the -R option. Any suggestion? Posted: 2003-12-07 06:31:13 | ||
greg![]() | Subject: Ask your ISP
| See if your ISP will set the recursive chmod for you. Also: apparently FlashFXP ftp client can do recurisive chmod www.flashfxp.com/index.php Posted: 2003-12-07 09:51:21 | ||
| tognaco | Subject: finally! | |
| I downloaded flashfxp, and set the permissions to 777, selecting the option "apply changes to all subfolders and files". I dont know if this is the -R, but now it works! I imported the spanish language sucessfully. Thank you very much for your help Posted: 2003-12-08 06:22:14 | ||

| If you are asking for help, provide lots of detail so problems can be reproduced. Things to describe: Operating system ATutor is installed on - ATutor version - Patch #s applied - ATutor theme name - PHP version - MySQL version - Webserver & version - Copies of error messages - Changes to default settings - Web browser being used - ...and anything else relevant - Posted: 2008-12-10 05:41:34 | ||
