not installing on my web host

I am having some problems with an install.
First install could not find tmp on unix
solved now the cache print function,
can't write courses.
I am using netnation.ca to host this .
My tech person asked me if I need php as an install because it is running as a module in apche web server?

Have your tech person look at the requirements for running ATutor to see if the system you are on has the necessary supporting software installed.

php as a module is alright.
