Install the FlowPlayer module, then use the [media] tag to insert a url to flv files. See the instructor handbook for more on the media tag.

With flowerplayer installed and enabled, you should be able to play .flv files, from URL or locally.

If you wanna play other types of flash videos, you need to create your own module that contains the library and necessary play scripts for them. Flowerplay module is a good reference in this case.

I turns out that you'll need to ensure that the FLV file name contains only letters, digits, underscores and dots.
In particular, no spaces or commas are allowed according to the source code.

I was able to test the flowPlayer module by pasting this HTML code:

    flowplayer.org/demos/plugins/javascript/embed.html
