    Issue: If a new student creates an ID (the default type creates is "INSTRUCTIR" It should be student.

    Please let me know how i can change the default of new registrations to be student.

    You're doing something wrong, though I'm not sure what.

    The default is always student, when a student registers using the registration form. Instructors are only created buy admin users.

    You may have an Auto Approve Instructor Requests option enabled in System Preferences.

    Haven't tested myself, but the Handbook says it would produce the result you observe. See help.atutor.ca/admin/system_preferences.php

    You are right - I had the Auto Approve Instructor Requests ENABLED (I now disabled the option).
