We are very happy with the possibility to write course materials, including their titles with the UTF8 character set.

But in the list for selecting a course from the available curriculum the names seem not to be shown in UTF8 mode.

In fact I found the titles were stored in one table in the database in a non-UTF8 mode. I was able to change these bad entries in the database and everything seemed fine, until a teacher edited one of the courses with an UTF8 title. Then the ugly wrong interpretation of the title came back in the curriculum listing.
Is this a bug? Or are we using the system in the wrong way?

Hi,

Is this a fresh install or an upgrade? If this is an upgrade, can you check if the database table are actually in UTF8 after upgraded? There should be a step during upgrade to convert all ISO-latin database to UTF8.

Thanks guys!
It IS a fresh install, although we did import old content. I think the table field that creates our problem is NOT in UTF8. I´ll investigate further...
