I am the instructor of a course.
I created a new thread in a brand new forum.
I subscribe to the thread, hoping to receive email notification when a reply comes in.
A reply to my original posting was posted.
I did NOT get any email notification.

I double checked my email address, and it was correct.

Does the email notify feature require any 3rd party software modules to run (e.g., sendmail)?

Thanks

Peter

Peter,

sendmail or any sendmail replacement is needed to send mail from your server.

you can set up a phpinfo() page and see what information php has about your mail. if you're using windows then you'll have to edit the php.ini file and set the right mail server you usually send mail through (ISP, etc..)
