You'll need to modify the markup generated by ATutor if you want to open a course in a new window. Otherwise, ATutor opens courses in the same window.

You know about right click, open in a new window.

I am not asking about right click and open.

I have used Sun ELP LMS in that I can upload the .au file or imsmanifest.xml which contains the course content structure and urls for the content that has to be launched.

is there a simliar way that i can assign a url for a course. if the student click on a particular course it should open in a new window.

You'll need to modify the code of the browse courses screens by adding the target attribute to the links that open courses.
