Modify the DirectoryIndex line in your Web server's httpd.conf to include index.php. Something like this:

DirectoryIndex index.php index.html

I reconfigured the webserver and now the login window pops up when I open localhost/atutor/.

However, after logging as admin in the login window pops up again, with all fields blank. After logging in as an ordinary user I get "no such course id found".

I hope you have a solution for this and I would like to add that your prompt support is appreciated very much.

Marc

Subject: Access the Control CentreQuote this post in your reply
Try accessing the Control Centre first, rather than trying to access a course.

use:
www.myserver.com/ATutor/
(or wherever the top of your ATutor installation is)

Did you create the Welcome course and the default instructor account when you installed?

Subject: I installed but...Quote this post in your reply
I installed 1.3.3 but even after successful installation I keep getting... "ATutor does not appear to be installed. Continue on to the installation."

Yiu can view the server PHP info at:

admin.astringonmyfinger.com/phpinfo.php

I have tried to login using Safari 1.2 and IE 5.2 on a mac and I keep getting..."ATutor does not appear to be installed. Continue on to the installation."

Installation was at: www.sbishere.com/ATutor

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Subject: Config parse errorQuote this post in your reply
There is a parse error in include/config.inc.php. Have a look at the file to see if you can id the problem at about line 48.

Try reinstalling...

Your phpinfo page is only accessible with a password...

It seems to be a Step 4 error... could the "dbm.sbishere.com@localhost" be the error? why would it add the @ symbol?
